Canalways Home Page San Francisco's North Bay suffers from a lack of affordable housing, traffic congestion, and a jobs-housing imbalance. Many of these regional problems have been caused by politically pressured illogical land uses. Canalways is an 85 acre parcel that envelopes a poorly maintained 15 acre San Rafael City flood control pond. The Canalways partnership is dedicated to beneficially using its land to address regional housing, traffic, energy and jobs-housing imbalance in the most effective manner possible. This web page will try to educate its visitors on how common sense, good will approaches to land development can help address regional problems and thereby benefit and build a sensible community and healthy environment. Canalways will face politically effective pressure group opposition. We will address concerns and opposition with common sense, solid, beneficial developmental solutions. To see some of the issues and how we will address them go to the CanalwaysInfo page linkable here or in the left column. Our MissionTo produce a project that addresses in some small way important regional problems and in doing so enhance peoples' lives and the environment. To help educate the community and the project sponsors as together we move toward delivering a beneficial project.
